Tafika Camp
Tafika Camp is located just outside the Nsefu sector of the South Luangwa National Park, on a tight bend in the Luangwa River. Surrounded on three sides by National Park, the camp is nestled in the shade of giant leadwood trees. Five very spacious and airy rooms each have 2 double beds, en-suite toilet and power shower.
Tafika is owned and operated by one of the Luangwa Valley's most legendary couples, John & Carol Coppinger, who have had a long-standing presence in the area. They pride themselves on offering top quality game viewing safaris with maximum flexibility, personalized attention and excellent cuisine. The camp has a strong reputation for the quality of its guides; all are of long-standing Luangwa experience.
The area is a hub of activity for big game: elephant, hippos, lion and large herds of buffalo are frequently encountered in and around camp. Activities include day and night game drives in open vehicles and walking. An optional extra is the opportunity to micro-light over the bush - an experience never to be forgotten.
