NCHILA BUSH CAMP is situated on the privately-owned Nchila Wildlife Reserve in the remote Mwinilunga district which borders Angola and D.R. Congo. Forming part of Hillwood Farm, the small bush camp of chalets is in virgin African bush, camouflaged by riverine and miombo woodland overlooking dambos and streams. Ornithologists, herpetologists, zoologists, and many other observers and lovers of the natural world are among its visitors.
An attempt has been made to maintain a natural setting for the main camp. The buildings are built of stone with thatched roofs. An open central sitting/dining area with views over open plain is surrounded by three comfortably furnished chalets: one double, one with two bedrooms (one double and one twin), and a smaller chalet that sleeps one client comfortably and two at a push. All three chalets have bathrooms, the two rooms in the larger chalet share a bathroom.

The area is particularly appealing for its birding, although the reserve has also gained a reputation for its antelope. Activities are normally on foot, using local footpaths through the reserve area. It is also possible to hire a vehicle with the services of a local driver to visit the source of the Zambezi and the Zambezi rapids.
Nchila is reached by a short charter flight from Lusaka or Northern Kafue.
