Schulphoek Guest House
Schulphoek Guest House is situated on the beautiful Schulphoek Bay in the Western Cape, a protected sanctuary with spectacular sea views. Southern Right Whales come right into the bay to breed from July to November. The guest house is minutes away from Hermanus town centre and within one hour of Cape Town International Airport.
There are seven double rooms all en-suite & luxuriously fitted, meeting with international standards. The bedrooms have immense charm and character, each individually decorated with fine linens, offering privacy and exclusivity with subtle touches of luxury. The bathrooms are unique with environmentally friendly soaps and shampoos, terrycloth gowns and slippers, and warmed bath sheets.
Relax in the stylish atmosphere where an eclectic mixture of old and new finds Africa merging with the sea. Watching whales and dolphins in the bay from the lounge area seems that much more of an intimate experience.
Schulphoek Guesthouse is well known for its delectable food. Fresh seafood and in-season shellfish, as well as venison are favourites. This is complemented with a wine collection of over 12 000 bottles of regional South African white and red wine.
Facilities include an outdoor salt water pool and the summer house has a treatment room where reflexology and shiatsu treatments are offered by appointment. Information and assistance is offered on planning local activities.
