Londolozi Varty Camp

Londolozi Varty Camp is located in the Londolozi Game Reserve which covers 14,000 hectares of private wilderness in the heart of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve – a privately owned 65,000 hectare extension of the Kruger National Park. The Sabi Sand shares a 50km long unfenced border with the national park, ensuring that animals can roam freely between the two reserves.



Londolozi Game Reserve comprises five exclusive camps - Tree Camp, Pioneer Camp, Varty Camp, Founders Camp - and the new Private Granite Suites. Set in a prime location, hidden amongst towering trees on the banks of the Sand River, these intimate camps all offer the ultimate in luxurious safari accommodation with spacious suites, elegant décor and impeccable service.



Varty Camp consists of eight Chalets and two Superior Chalets. The campfire has burned here for over 82 years making Varty Camp the symbolic heart and soul of Londolozi. The décor echoes the same tones of the owners’ private homes and their continuing love affair with the earth.

All rooms have private swimming pools framed by timber decks that overlook the riverine bush. The living spaces are raised off the ground and shaded under a cathedral of trees. The camp has a pleasingly down-to-earth quality and the emphasis on family heritage means that children always have a place at Varty Camp.

Varty Camp is also home to the original Sparta hunting camp, the boutique, the cardio vascular room, massage treatment room and library. Guests from all camps are invited to make use of these facilities.

Londolozi offers spectacular Big 5 game drives with unsurpassed leopard viewing but this is just the beginning of what really constitutes "the Londolozi experience".
