Trip Summary | Nkwali Camp | Tena Tena Camp | Luangwa Bush Camp | Nsefu Camp | Location

Nkwali Camp
Nkwali Camp is located on Robin Pope's private land, overlooking the Mfuwe sector of the South Luangwa National Park. The land is superb game-viewing country, with a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grass plains.
Elephants often cross the Luangwa and are seen from the bar and lounge area on the main terrace above the river. The bar is built around a very old and huge ebony tree, and many hours can be spent here watching the game coming to drink, and the birds feeding. A small lagoon near the thatched dining room often attracts game, including elephants, very close to camp.

Nkwali takes twelve guests in comfortable reed and thatch chalets overlooking the Luangwa River. Each of the cool and spacious rooms has a double or twin beds surrounded by a large walk-in mosquito net. At the back of each chalet is an en-suite open air bathroom with flush loo.

Activities from the camp include walks led by an experienced naturalist and accompanied by an armed game scout, game drives conducted in open four wheel drive vehicles and night drives.
