Muchenje Safari Lodge
Muchenje is situated on an escarpment overlooking the Chobe River and floodplains on the remote western side of the world famous Chobe National Park. The Lodge accommodates just 20 guests in intimate exclusivity.

The ten thatched chalets are sited on the escarpment edge. All chalets are en-suite and each has its own balcony and unique view. The chalets are exquisitely furnished and care has been taken to create an African ambience.

With stunning panoramic views, the main lodge area is the heart of Muchenje. Guests can relax in the lounge, bar or look-out platform. A feature of the dining room is a long railway sleeper dining table. A swimming pool is built amongst natural rock formations, taking advantage of the African vista and providing a tranquil setting for guests to relax during the heat of the day.

Muchenje is an owner-run lodge and prides itself on its friendly home from home atmosphere.

Flexible activities include day and night game drives, along with river cruises on the Chobe. As the lodge is located just outside the border of the Park on its own private land, it is also able to offer walking safaris. Fishing and interior drives to the remotest parts of central Chobe are available on request. It is also possible to visit the home of an elder, offering a glimpse into the tribal life of Botswana.

Chobe is famous for its large herds of elephant and buffalo and offers an incredible profusion of game during the drier months (April November).
